Newton Pride Flag Raising and Resource Fair at City Hall

On June 3, 2026, the progressive flag was raised on the grounds of Newton City Hall shortly after Mayor Mark Laredo shared his promising words, “We raise the Pride flag today because Newton is and will remain a welcoming city where every resident has the right to feel safe, live openly, love whom they love and be treated with dignity, respect and fairness.” Mayor Laredo used his speech to strongly reaffirm Newton’s status as a welcoming, inclusive city in response to national challenges.
