About

LGBTQ+ Newton has its beginning as a grass roots, community-based group.

It’s purpose is to celebrate community connections and advance education for and about the LGBT community, its allies and the larger community in Newton and neighboring cities/towns.

The group aims to do this by hosting inclusive social events, providing speakers and resources on related topics, and building alliances to confront prejudices and promote inclusivity, eliminate discrimination and foster equality and understanding in our neighborhoods and beyond.

LGBTQ+ Newton is organized exclusively for charitable purposes for the public good and betterment of society.  It is intergenerational and family friendly. Activities and events bring us together to learn, socialize, deepen friendships, strengthen community and feel connected across cultures and generations.

Incorporated as a nonprofit organization, LGBTQ+ Newton is in the process of applying for 501(c)3 status.
