Four young activists interview gay, lesbian and trans-gender elders who explore how the perfect storm of 1960s activism — the anti-war, civil rights, and the women’s movements — inspired them to fight for their personal freedoms. These were the years that led up to the Stonewall Riots in 1969.

Join us Wednesday afternoon, May 20 from 1:00 – 2:30pm at the Cooper Center for Active Living, 345 Walnut Street, Newtonville … second floor, Activity Room #3. Bring your lunch, invite a friend and join the conversation! Snacks and beverages provided.

The Dept. of Newton’s Older Adult Services sponsors a monthly gathering on the 2nd Monday and 3rd Wednesday of each month. It’s a time to meet, greet and socialize within the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies! At each meeting, a different theme/current event is discussed, or a fun activity is organized.
