Book Swap POP UP at the Cooper Center

Fondly known around town as The BOOK LADIES, Annette Seaward and Nancy Brown of Newton love reading books! From early porch meetups during the pandemic to current monthly gatherings at West Newton Library, their pop-up events have gained notoriety! 

Sponsored by Newton’s Dept. of Older Adult Services at the Cooper Center for Active Living in historic Newtonville, Nancy and Annette showed up hauling two huge totes of books to swap, promising something for everyone.

Titles sparked conversation about travel to Canada, favorite meal recipes, authors setting the scene locally, genres that are dislikes, likes and loves. Whether book enthusiasts or not, folks enjoyed sharing their favorite authors, book titles and learned of new ones.
