LGBTQ+ Newton Joins LGBTQIA+ Socials’ for a “STORY SLAM”

Standing room only could be found at the Newton Free Library for LGBTQIA+ Socials’ “STORY SLAM” … poems and essays about coming out, first crushes, flannel shirts, Butch group, second mothers, pets, discrimination Olivia travel adventures, awkward moments at a party, college years and questioning were a few of the topics at this wonderful evening of sharing of personal stories and making connections. 

The event was co-sponsored by Newton’s Dept. of Older Adult Services at the Cooper Center for Active Living and the Newton Free Library.
